WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM 2025

Hey, lovely ladies!

In honour of December arriving, the last month of 2025 I am going to be talking about lessons I have learned from this year and knowledge I will be taking with me into 2026.

Having a plan for your entire future can feel reassuring, but life often has its own ideas. Ever since I was little, I always had some sort of plan, a sense of direction you could say, for who I wanted to become. Naturally, those ideas changed as I grew older.

In 12th grade, it was time to start applying to universities and make a real decision. For at least a year, I was sure about which school I wanted to attend and what I wanted to major in. Then came the exams. They didn’t go as well as I had hoped, and I didn’t get into the program I had aimed for. Instead, I ended up studying a different major at the same university and I couldn’t be happier about where this unexpected turn has led me.

Of course, being a big planner and dreamer, I have already chosen a university where I can get my Master’s in sports management, but who knows, where I will actually end up.

You can plan all you want, but sometimes life makes the decision for you, so don’t overthink it, when you don’t always get what you wished for.

At first, I liked the idea that embarrassment isn’t even real, it’s something that someone must have invented just to make others feel bad. Then I came across a clip of Austin Butler saying: “Embarrassment is an underexplored emotion. Go make a fool of yourself.”  That line stuck with me. I started thinking about it more and more, and I realized that once you finally get over the fear of embarrassment, life becomes so much more beautiful — almost mesmerizing.

I used to feel embarrassed about even the smallest things, like trying a new hairstyle or the amount of food I ordered in a public place. But why should anyone care about my hair or how much I eat? Most of the time, people don’t care at all, and even if they do, why should it matter?

Do what you love. Try new things. Don’t fear embarrassment. It’s a feeling that, once faced, pushes you even further the next time.

When you have a goal you truly want to achieve, something you feel in your whole heart, it becomes one of the strongest sources of motivation. A real dream doesn’t just inspire you, it shapes your habits, builds your discipline, and slowly transforms the impossible into something within reach. Dreams demand effort, yes — but they also give direction, energy and a sense of purpose.

Of course, life has its own path for you, as I said in #1. Unexpected turns will come, and not everything will go according to your plans. But that doesn’t take away your responsibility to walk the path, adjust your steps, and keep your dream in sight. Life may open doors, but you are the one who has to choose them, push them, or in some cases build your own.

A dream is not just a distant wish, it’s the first step toward the future you want, and the clearest reminder that you’re capable of becoming more than you are today. Keep dreaming and definitely keep trying to achieve everything you have always wanted.
